If you aren’t familiar with the company, it produces entertainment-based, storyline-driven and choreographed wrestling matches – its essentially a live drama TV show. WWE earns money through three different segments;
- Media – all the money they earn from the content they produce; the WWE Network, pay-per-view for their major events, the rights fees these receive from TV channels, advertising and sponsorship, and DVDs.
- Live Events – all the money they earn from the live shows – this is mainly from the ticket sales.
- Consumer Products – all the money they earn from selling merchandise, either directly selling it themselves or licensing their characters for others to use to then sell merchandise.
