The Australian stock market (ASX) is an unfortunately sad place. There’s no innovation here and no technology. The biggest companies compose a huge part of the entire ASX and are essentially; the blood products pharmaceutical company CSL, the big banks, BHP, and all the other mining companies. None of these companies have any decent growth in them, and are essentially entirely dependent on either; interest rates (banks), or global construction (mining). It’s an unfortunately boring place to be as an investor.
